I have been on information overload lately, drowning in the sea of good ideas, inspirational essays, how to’s and should’s. There is a plethora of fantastic content out there that is worthy of reading, applying and sharing. I love thinking about new concepts, thrive on inspiration, and appreciate a good tutorial as much as the next person. I want to read and process it all, sharing the good stuff that speaks to my heart.
Except when I don’t.
Sometimes it gets overwhelming, all the do this and do that, the advice, encouragement, and ideas. There is not enough room in my head to process all of it, let alone apply it.
It might be the end of the school year burnout talking, but I am exhausted. I need a break from all the voices and information. I need to disengage, giving myself permission just to be; present, aware and undistracted. I need to back away from the constant pull of interaction and information so that I can find my balance.
As much as I wish I were a good multi-tasker, that is not one of my talents. Consequently, it might be a bit quiet on the blog and corresponding social media pages for a little while (maybe a week…maybe longer) so I can allow myself time and energy to focus on other things (without feeling guilty).
I appreciate your understanding, and I will see you soon.
